What does it mean when a girl looks sad?

So we was at work tonight and I was talking to one girl and not really talking to the other except for when she asked me for help because I relate better to the other girl. Anyways at the end of the night the girl i was talking to asked the other girl if everything was ok because she seemed sad

I suppose you are asking because you want to know if the girl was sad because you are not paying attention to her, right? However, her being sad could be due to some personal reasons or like what I said earlier it could be because you are not properly conversing with her. It's pretty hard to say especially that I have no idea about her personality but it could be because she feels like she's being left out and that she's not worthy or interesting to be socialized with or she might have feelings for you. Either way, it is still hard to assume, especially that your story is pretty vague. Most probably, it could be an internal problem, an issue she has with herself.
