Both men and women have propensity to be mean rude etc. We’re actually not that different in that respect. Humans can be mean. But, women are more sneaky and so will be mean in more insidious ways I guess. While men just have a big argument or fight it out.

The issue has nothing to do with accuracy. The issue is the fact that most of the time if a guy refers to women as “females” in a non-medical context, he’s either an incel or incel-adjacent. Meaning that he doesn’t respect women.

Sometimes they’re quite dangerous to women. Let’s not forget the incel reddit pages where people would plan ways to rape women and get away with it.

They use the term “female” for two reasons. First, as someone stated before, it sounds scientific. It’s the sort of hyper-intellectual language that some idiots believe automatically lends validity to stupid arguments. (It’s like how some people think Ben Shapiro is some sort of genius when really all he does it talk fast and use big words.) Incels believe that if they use scientific-sounding words, it means that whatever they’re saying is actually supported by science. They’re wrong.

The other reason that they use the word is that it allows them to ignore the humanity of women and girls. Yes, as someone said previously, it may be obvious to us that we’re human. But if someone is trying to make an argument that we should be treated as less than human, they’re not going to refer to us as women, as that would be a constant reminder to the person they’re making the argument to - and to themselves - that women are people. The term female can apply to animals, some plants, and in some cases even inanimate objects. It’s an easier sell that way. So yes. It is dehumanizing. That may not be your intention. But unless you’re speaking in a medical context, that is what the word is most often used for.

So even if you are part of the minority who casually use that word without intending it to be demeaning, many women will hear that word and assume that you don’t respect them, or even that you’re dangerous. So if you don’t want people to assume that, I would suggest using the word women instead, or if you want to refer to a wider age range, women and girls.

The meaning was that I acknowledge that some people may innocently use the word without knowing that many women associate it with some dangerous people. However, many women DO associate it with dangerous people, for good reason, so if you don’t want women to think you’re dangerous, you should stop using the word.
