Guys, if a girl begged you to stay with her..how would you feel?

i just had an ugly fight with my boyfriend and initially he wanted out, but I begged...he was so determined to leave but I begged for 2 hours and he has finally given me another chance..i still feel embarrassed now Because I forfeited all my pride. honestly I didn't know if I did the right thing...he said in the end that he does love me and does wanna be with me.but I don't know if he's really overlooked it or begging made me look "pathetic" or "rediculous" in his eyes.i probs already made a crack in your relationship..so what should I really do?

I just had the same incident 2 weeks ago. Usually depends on what the fight was about. Were it just a standard fight about whatever, I would give her a second chance and probably just forget it. If you did something very wrong, I would give her a second chance but things would change. I had this type of fight 2 weeks ago. I broke up with her for good a week later. Just try not to fight anymore

i lost control of my temp and got mad at him over some worthless things..and said something that made him feel I wasn't happy and he felt tired. I was wrong for fighting actually so I deeply introspectd and told him where went wrong and promised to change..i had no chance but to beg otherwise he seemed very determind to leave me. I just don't know how guys really think about "begging" and I don't wanna look needy and desperate and certainly don't want him to break up with me again a week later ;P

I wouldn't see you as pathetic or anything. I would actually love it if a girl begged me to stay with her like that. Just a way of showing how much you really want to stay with him. You obviously truly care about him and love him if you will go through all of that to stay together. Makes you more of a keeper than anything =)

personally I hate to see ppll beg, something about it bothers me, if I were your boyfriend, id just leave and tell you I need space, I couldn't stand there while you beg. its hard to watch

Actually I don't think he likes to see me beg either. he asked me to stop talkin and that "its ridiclous".yes I stopped.and the mess slowly eventually got in control by time.i felt crap abt it. I don't wanna beg but I did it hopin there is a chance the relationship can genuinly grow if I change.

What was the fight about and who was at fault?

On my end, it would depend. If she was sincere in her apology, I could possibly be swayed. If she did the same thing over and over again and I finally had enough, I would stand my ground. At that point she is using me as nothing more than a punching bag and that's why she would want me to stay.

if the fight was as bad as you say, and you actaully begged him, I'd say he lift cause he was tired but took you back cause he still loves you. gotta get that temper taken care of though

I gave some similar advice to a girl who went off on her now-ex-boyfriend. She kept insisting that she overreacted to some very suggestive comments he made to his ex-girlfriend. When you really care about somebody, it's easy to downplay significant things. Were these "worthless things" really worthless? If yes, then I agree with Mr. Drake that you should bring your temper under control. Let things cool off some and then decide if you were wrong.

Yeah, they broke up because he made suggestive comments to his ex, she got mad at him, he felt she would be better off without him, and she's doing the same thing you are: downplaying and taking blame. Again I ask, were these "worthless things" really worthless?

oh my boyfriend said I complain about everything and if I have so many problems with him,and is not unhappy with things,we should break up.

I guess he thinks I complain he leaves dirty plates everywhere,not clean up after himself.not stricktly wash his hands or never does laundry,never does dishes.. other time,i guess, when I raise my different opinion about something he's done, he counts it as complaining too.

sometimes I just say it ,occasionally I may lose temp and make a huge deal out of it.

These aren't necessarily worthless things. You want him to help out around the house/apartment and you are constantly taking care of it yourself, it seems. You ask him why he does something and he says you are complaining. You may be overreacting some, but I think you are within reason.

he works 40hrs per week but I only go to uni so have more spare time.also we are renting a small unit and we have clean lady so my workload of housework isn't really much and because of that,i don't mind doing them all.

i have to say there are times I don't even think I'm complaining but he says I am. oh well I plan to be more caution :P

so your friend took all the blame over her bf's ex thing and why they eventually broke up again?

Not my friend, another girl on GAG. This (her situation) is something I don't think should be discussed on the comment board for everyone to see. If you want to discuss in private messages, that's fine.

Regardless, though, it is something to be aware of. You may be overreacting, he may be underreacting. It's good that you recognize that you need to be cautious about it.

no I wouldn't dump him..im just afraid he sees me as pathetic now..and wonder if there is any way to make him feel better . we fought because I flipped out over some petty sh*t and I admit I was wrong.
