Girls, what makes a guy charming?

i've never been called charming, so I'm not asking cause of personal experience, but I want to know, what are things a guy does or says that make him charming?

I've been told my charm is natural and I've noticed it since I was very young when I was having crushes on all the grown ladies lol. I don't really know what I do or say, or what charm really is. I suppose it's a way of being friendly and easy to get along with, and making a girl feel good about herself as well. Dropping well thought out, genuine, and clever compliments on a girl instead of just saying "You're hot" or "Damn girl, you're sexy" I guess is charming. Being witty, clever, and intelligent seem to also be charming to women.

I guess I don't really know what exactly 'charming' is. I suppose just like how different girls find different things attractive, it depends on the girl as to what charming means and how it makes her feel. I just know that I don't naturally have that "bad boy" persona, but I am good at being a Romeo. That's probably more towards the "nice guy" side of the spectrum, which is my way of being a nice guy it seems :)

There was a guy I went to school with that fit the definition of charming completely. First off he talked to everyone...I don't mean he was talkative all the time but that he associated with all types of people. You could tell that he was comfortable with himself. He made you feel like you were someone important when you talked to him because he was engaging and didn't seem in a hurry to leave. He was always laughing and joking around. He was very involved with social events on campus and had a ton of friends. He was also educated but would act silly from time to time and was pretty laidback. Basically an all around good guy...Don't know if that would work for every guy but it did for him! =)

i don't see how being social would make you a good person, psychopaths can act social.

other than that, he sounds like a chill guy.

Well yeah but isn't there an exception to everything? I just think the fact that a lot of people were comfortable around him, saw him as a decent person, and enjoyed being around him were some factors in his being charming.

well they can be but I've seen some guys that are super good actors when it comes to acting like the good guy everyone likes. you'd be surprised to see what they're really like when no one's watching.

There's no dictionary for that and certainly not one kind of attitude that makes you charming. It's when a guy takes my breath away by his kindness, care and intelligence.

Players can be very charming. Narcissists are charming too. So, I guess "charming" isn't so appealing these days lol

there aren't really any specific things he does/says that makes a guy charming...its just an overall impression I guess. being witty, polite, mature...basically "being a gentleman". 

Charming isn't a word that's used much anyways

Witty, level-headed, and as good as a listener as they are a talker. Quiet charisma. Smiling and eye contact as well as the occasional laugh. Manners. This is what I've seen in a guy I've considered to be charming. Funny thing about it is, it takes a sort of natural grace. Unless you're a clever, manipulative bastard of course...

as in everything I say, you can come up with an answer very quickly

those type of guys are usually quite smart

not necessarily. a quick mind is a sign of intelligence, but coming up with something to say quickly is more of an acquired skill after talking to many new people. basically, its just a sign of conversational skills gained through experience.
