I really doubt women (or more specifically white girls) are staring at you. They might look, especially if you're taking selfies in the mirror with your chest exposed. I would probably glance over and think "wtf is he doing?" and then go back to my workout.

9 out of 10 people at the gym are there to workout themselves and they aren't paying much attention to other gym patrons unless you're on equipment they need or making yourself noticable (loud grunts, selfies, videos, flashy clothes, music, etc)

I wouldn't think too much of it. If you're trying to be noticed at the gym, just go up to one of the girls and ask them out. You might creep them out but that seems to be the underlying concern here.
