Are you pissed about the fact that she wanted to follow you on insta or just having a WTF moment? Motives vary... depending on the relationship she might feel like a douche canoe for bailing on you and wanting to give you a hint that she is still thinking about you. Alternatively she could be just wanting to snoop your Insta to see what you've been up to... and with who. It all depends on your relationship with her.

Well that's it isn't it. If she has your number and you have mutual friends and she can't bother to text she's just snooping. Call her out on it, or ignore it. Either way you may not get any answers.

Yea. I’m not sure if calling her out is a good idea tbh. I want to ignore her request but it will make her realize she is effecting me, you know? I think I might just allow the request and just move on with my life.. but I don’t want to accept her request. 😩

Denying or accepting it is a reaction. She'll then realize she's effecting you either way. Letting it sit without a reaction is your best bet. She asks you about it later, two things, you'll know it effected her, and you can always say you hardly use the app and missed the request. Dishonest, slightly, but effective.

Some girls (not all) have a nasty habit of not wanting to solidify anything but at the same time wanting to keep the guy on the back burner just for the sake of an ego boost or “if all else fails” type of thing. So, while they’re out there seeing all their options... they’ll snoop on you every so often just to see what you’re up to and potentially string you along. This isn’t fair to you and for that reason you should ignore her and keep it moving because of If she actually wanted to make an effort to get to know you on a deeper level... she would and she’d do it the right way.

I appreciate your detailed response. To be fair I didn’t want anything serious with this girl but it’s just strange and bizarre to me she would do this. I think your answer makes a lot of sense regardless. Not sure what she gains stalking my instagram but oh well.
