Basically around the same time video games became popular, such as Atari and Super Nintendo. If you were a gaming family you were already a gamer. It is just that during those times, the 90s and early 2000s most women were shunned from gaming especially with boys. It was most catered to the male demographic. I remember I wanted to play Pokemon, YuGiOh, Digimon, Bayblade, etc with my male peers. Most of them said this: THAT'S NOT FOR GIRLS! So one of my only close male friends at the time, can't call him a friend anymore was the one who never judged me and thought it was cool that I did and maybe a male cousin. By middle school, I found just a few that actually enjoyed the same hobbies and we have been friends ever since. In High School, I was mostly focusing on the things of God, and eventually placed a huge chunk of that down. I tried to try again by 23. But afterward, I literally had no one to play or share that with. So at most I play solo with my video games. So right now I am overall just a casual gamer. Many of us have always been in gaming. You just never wanted us around. And first, what you say is rude about them. Your behaving very sexist as a man and you want to know why some of them have shown themselves as such because many of you men are just thirsty anyway.

No, I am not. If your that incompetent in how to beat a particular game, that shows where you lack the gaming skills to succeed. That depends on the games you play. Last I checked, Kingdom Hearts never had that. Final Fantasy never had that and it never overdone it. The Legend of Zelda depending on the game had some themes but yet again, they didn't overdo it. It was never a male space.
