I am short myself (below most men back in my hometown in the US, and Dutch men, as well), but still three inches taller than the hypothetical man posed in this question. And the only few women I've EVER heard say they'd like a guy in this height range, always tell me something along the lines of "[your height] just makes the cut for me." An these were all women 5'4" and under. More specifically, women 5'1", 5'2", 5'3", and 5'4". Keep in mind, I didn't go after these shallow ho-bags and I don't like short women in general (at least one of us in the couple should be tall); but they were talking about regarding men in general at my height.
So if I'm three inches taller than this guy and I have lots of experience with 5'1" and 5'2" women telling me I am Option D: "Just Makes The Cut," I sincerely doubt men EVEN SHORTER than I am, are going to fare better. Granted, anecdotal evidence doesn't mean much to you reading this, but it means more than hypothetical "What Ifs" like the very question itself.
So I think 35% of these 5'2" women would vote Option E "I really wish he was taller", 30% would vote Option F "Too short unless everything else about him is near perfect", 25% would vote Option G "He's just way too short", and 10% would vote for anything else listed here. Women are notoriously super-shallow when it comes to height. Me being a sub-six footer, I should know.
I honestly think guys are more concerned with height than girls are. I'm 5'8" and I've dated guys as short as 5'4" and as tall as my current boyfriend who stands a bit over 6'6". I love wearing my high heels and I actually dated a guy a couple years ago who was 5'8", but didn't want me to wear them, because I "showed him up", whatever that meant. That was insecurity on his part, but height really has never been an issue for me.
Some girls have 6 foot as the dealbreaker. Some don't care as long as you're taller

s Or you are making a big deal out of nothing. Most are not going to care about your height being 5'8. Just have a good personality and have a pretty good sense of humor and that will go pretty far
A 5”2 girl won’t care about your height unless you keep bringing it up.
I don’t care for height I’m 5’4” I use guys being short as an excuse to not have to wear heels for events so works for me
u "Most girls" don't care about your height. I only care about height if someone is over 6'10"
