Why did she sit her personal belongings by me?

Just little background. I have a female coworker whom I’ve gotten pretty close to I’ve. Notice the usual signs of attraction but she did something out of the norm today she left out the office and puts her vest and on a chair that was sitting on my side of the office usually she’s hangs her clothing on the back of her computer chair. Even when she came back into the office she left the vest in the chair on my side. I just thought it was weird that she sat it by me didn’t say a word when she did it either. I’m not trying to make something out of nothing just thought it was weird given that she usually keeps he belongings close by her. Maybe it didn’t fit on the chair I don’t know but this wasn’t the first time she wore a vest in the office either.

People do that when they generally like you, feel comfortable around you, trust you, and enjoy your company. It has nothing to do with "Attraction". It is a normal and common practice amongst people who are generally open and friendly and likes being around you. You already said you two starting to get a bit close. When we start getting close to people or see commonalities, like potential friendship. We want to deepen that connection if it is mutual. If you know you're seeking something else, you need to be upfront with her. Though I wouldn't recommend workplace dating or romance. If she is overall a friendly person, we do that with everybody. Sorry to say. It is not meant to make you be attracted to us. Sadly, you need to be mindful of what your expect out of this especially if you never had a woman show you that much attention be if friend or not.

Thank you for your response I’m definitely mindful. I’m also level headed and a realist I try not to entertain any unrealistic expectations. The other part of this though if she want me to watch her belongings she should have said that because I could’ve have walked out the office at any minute for whatever reason given we are at a workplace. If something was to happen would she try to hold me accountable. That’s why I taught it was weird because usually doesn’t sit her clothes by me 🤷🏽‍♂️

She cannot hold you accountable. You're an adult, she is an adult. If she cannot be accountable for watching her things, then she cannot have her things out in the open for anybody to try. Other than that, if you know you are not the type to steal or do anything you shouldn't, then unless she has proven, you never did anything. Plus if she really trusts you and knows your character, and she is who you say she is, then she won't blame you for something you obviously didn't do. But if you sense she isn't being truthful about who she is, then remember to listen to your gut. Some people change or hide their real character for the wrong reasons.
