I sent to my friend who lives overseas a letter for her birthday and for Christmas.
She told me recently that she loves them and have been carry them for months in her bag because how pretty they were and they made her cry.
I know maybe friends doesn't send letters to each other nowadays, but it really suprised me how much she loves the letters.

That's pretty cool that your friend has been carrying around the letters you sent her like that! Sounds like she's really appreciating the personal touch and thought you put into it.
In this day and age, getting a handwritten letter from someone can be kind of a rare and special thing. A lot of people just send texts or emails these days, so the fact that she's been keeping your letters with her and they've made her emotional is a real compliment.
She's probably really touched that you took the time to write those letters out for her birthdays and holidays. It shows you care enough to put in that extra effort, rather than just firing off a quick digital message. And the fact that she finds them so beautiful and meaningful that she carries them around is super sweet.
I'm sure it means a lot to your friend to have those physical reminders of your friendship and the connection you share. In a world that's so digitally focused, holding onto those handwritten letters must feel really special and personal for her.
Keep doing you, man. Clearly your friend really appreciates the thoughtfulness and care you put into those letters. Don't be surprised if she continues cherishing them for a long time. Little gestures like that can mean the world to people. Nice work keeping that old-school letter writing tradition alive!
Perhaps it’s her way of showing the strength of the bond between you. At the end of the day, she’s doing no harm.
