Why do girls act like they don’t care after a fight/breakup but they actually do?

I can always tell when girls are acting and she actually does care but why act like she doesn’t?

Because they want you to believe that they're stronger than you. Or at least want you to think that they're stronger than you think they are.

This is a good question because you even see this in a lot of lyrics from female music artists. Singing about how you've "moved on," "are so over it/I'm over you," "we're over," etc. indicates the actual opposite: when someone has really moved on and doesn't care, they don't broadcast it or need to say it. It will be very apparent in their actions, behavior, etc. They are generally not going to say it or tell you, their silence or lack of association with you will be their answer.

Maybe it's a survival tactic. Break ups are hard, especially if she wasn't the one to initiate the break up, which would make her feel bad, but letting on she still has feelings for someone who no longer wanted her would make her feel worse🤷... If there's no chance of reconnecting, isn't it better to let someone deal with it the best way for them to be able to get past it to be able to move on?

We just had a fight and distancing each other but now after me trying to talk to her she doesn’t want to communicate with me so I’ve given up and ignoring her as how she is behaving is childish. She seems upset now though and acts like she doesn’t care.

Acts like? Or maybe she really doesn't? Or just knows it's time to move on? Sometimes love isn't enough. Sometimes we can like or love people that we know aren't good for us. Maybe that's where she's at? 🤷

It’s a dominance test level. She’s standing her ground and expressing her feelings. Hoping the guy will understand and fight for the relationship. But, guys ego gets the best of them. That they walk away from the relationship, throwing last jabs to feel better about themselves.
