Most people of all ages are dumb asf.

Just focus on yourself, your emotions, and enjoying your life.

People will be what they are and do what they are.
They will be dumb, selfish, cruel, and act like cave men with no morals.

Don't become invested in people who are full of bs and acting poorly. It's their choice and they get to live with the consequences. Their emotions and life are their responsibility. It's not anyone else's job to fix their problems, provide guidance, or take care of their emotions.

Work to your own strengths rather than being pushed in a certain direction by the mass.

Work out what you enjoy doing, what makes you feel valued, what your core values are, sprinkle in some practicality, and do this in your work.

Learn how to create healthy boundaries and be comfortable saying no.

Don't do any of the things I did when I was your age and you will be fine. Don't screw your life up like I did :P

Enjoy yourself and have experiences. Challenge yourself as these help push your perceptions of your own capabilities and the world around you.

Listen to this old grandad INFJ! *rubs greying beard in a wise kind of way*

Hitler was an INFJ - He did survive his teenage years so it's all good - Also I'd recommend - if you're actually into this stuff - to read about "socionics" - Mbti is more related to who you are - socionics if you believe that mbti is accurate - can really help in someone's social life

Okay so other people have written their types - so I suddenly feel the urge of doing it too - I'm ENTP, the single greatest type on earth

Also in socionics the Introverted types happen to be reversed - So you as an INFJ would be typed INFP in socionics but obviously the same functions same everything else..

The same way everyone else survives their teenage years, don’t act impulsively, be kind, and don’t be a know it all.

I used to be INFJ. I think the biggest thing to practice would be to not become too agreeable. So definitely implement elements of disagreeableness into your behavior when it would be best to.

oh sorry, I used to be INFP* but now I'm INTJ. And the change wasn't intentional. But I believe it was definitely due to my core beliefs and values changing. I have become more competent at understanding myself and the world around me which has helped bring my ego to a healthier place. It was wayyy too low in the past. I've also become far more disagreeable than I was before and I'm less of a people pleaser.

@Sonorous yes I get this. I've heard of switching types due to outside factors but never really looked into the concept deeply. I think I might be an entp because I have those tendencies when I am feeling much less stressed (which is rare because I have some serious stresers going on in my home life). I do enjoy being INFJ because I thrive on things that actually seem meaningful, but some of my friends tease me even though I see those same patterns of in them lol.

I think that if we switch, outside factors always play a part. But they would never be the only cause. And I believe that we mostly switch unintentionally. And that if a person wants to switch intentionally, it will take a lot of effort through conscious enforcement of the behavior we want to be better at.

Even though he's talking about the traits of the big 5 model and not types of the Meyers Briggs model, I'm more inclined to agree with Dr. Todd Grande on this one:

skip to 6:33 if you're interested
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VzuCOCEuXU

I believe that we are all the culmination of our vulnerabilities, strengths & everything we experience. Almost like each of our consciousness is the exact same, but it gets guided through different forms. Forms like our bodies & experiences.

It's why I have the view that I have the potential to be like anyone else if I was born in their body/had their genome, neurochemistry, experiences, etc. So I view consciousness like it's just a ball of potential. 🤔 but ofc I could be wrong.

Oh, and as for your personality type change, it does make sense for it to change along with your emotions. Many talk about these as if they're always fixed. But in reality, there's just a general range that we're usually in/a general type that we usually are.

I definitely recommend taking the big 5 test and the disc personality model that way you can compare the differences and connect more dots.

@Sonorous I cannot believe I actually read this entire conversation - but what you said was really interesting so it was a nice read - I also think that - and this may not be accurate just a theory - But our actual type would be how we behave when we're at our highest level of confidence - the same way you changed from infp to intj when you became more disagreeable which was good for you - I remember I always typed as an entp until I got really depressed I typed as an intj - It took some time I got back to my old self (I didn't make any conscious effort time heals I guess as well as going out more) - and I felt good about myself again - The same way I think the asker might be actually an entp if when less stress which could translate to more confidence she behaves like one - What's your opinion on that?

Thanks, man! And I don't even know much about this. These are all just what I've pieced together when trying to understand myself. But that is a very interesting view! I guess I somewhat might agree with that. But I might be less inclined to view our "actual type" as being limited to one type. But rather that we're capable of having many actual types depending on the social, environmental, emotional (etc) states we're in. But all still (generally) having similarities assuming they've answered the questions accurately, we're somewhat considered mentally stable, etc.

I do find myself resonating with the big 5 model more though. I guess because even though it talks about different aspects, it gets more specific and tends to be a better predictive model. Understanding it has really helped me with depression. Took the test in a calm state and from it, I can tell my emotions would benefit from bringing my general agreeableness up and working extra hard on fulfilling my certain conscientiousness needs.

May I suggest not using acronyms like INFJ? LOL You find other people like yourself, or those who are willing to accept you on the level you converse and think at, rather than your chronological age.
