I'm 19 and still get grounded. HELP!

here's what's going on in my little world...

last night I fell asleep at my boyfriends house, as soon as I woke up (which was at 7am) I went home. My dad didn't say a word to me besides I'm grounded for the next 4days. I'm 19years old and I have a job. wtf do I do?

well if you live with your parents still then they have the right to ground you but if you don't like to be treated like a kid then maybe try to find a house or something if you have enought money but the best thing is to abide by your partens even if you are an adult

That's right but they can't stop you from going to work. You can also do what you want, but they do also have the right to kick you out too.

The parents won't stop her from going to her job... she meant in her question that she thinks that she is old enough (19) and responsible (job) enough to not get grounded anymore. If she told her parents that she was spending the night than there shouldn't be an issue, but if you just randomly disappear for the night that will cause a lot of worry for her parents. Which I think is irresponsible, if you live with your parents than just abide by their rules.

Move out. if you don't make much money most welfair offices have a low income housing program. my brother used it at one time and paid around $80 a month. I would also tell my dad he is f***ing stupid if he thinks I'm grounded at 19 if I was in your shoes
