i have a crush on my college RA, he’s so cute and nice. i heard a thing that most RA’s sleep with the students. i’m turning 18 in a few weeks, but he’s 21 now. even when i’m 18, would it still be wrong to go for him? how do i even figure out if he’s into me/flirt with him without getting in trouble

I think it is best to wait until you are 18 to do anything. It depends on what you want out of this; Do you just want to sleep with him or do you want a serious relationship? If you want something serious, then in those few weeks, you should observe him. Listen to the things he says and watch the things he does. Use this time to make sure if he is the guy you want. Older guys often go for younger girls because they see them as easier to manipulate and easier to sleep with. They think that because you most likely have less experience in dating, then you are less likely to know the tricks men use to get what they want from you. I remember at my school a lot of seniors went out with freshman for these reasons. Obviously, not all older guys do this, and some older women do it too. I am not saying that I think you would be easy to manipulate or anything like that but be cautious, because most of the men that do this are really good at it. They can talk their way out of anything and are good at talking you into things. I am not saying that your TA is like this, but there is a possibility that he is, so just be careful. The university may have some rule that prohibits him from engaging in a relationship with the students under his charge, but for that position, the enforcement is very sporadic. If you want a smooth way to ease into it, get one or two girls to agree to go out to dinner and then invite him along. You engage him in conversation and the other girls know to leave as soon as they are finished with dinner. Then, there you are, you and him, talking in private for some extended time. If there is any mutual chemistry, that should give it a chance to show itself. Just be careful that you don't become nothing more than another notch in his bedpost.

RA? Is that like a teaching assistant if so I suppose that's the only thing that would be wrong about be with him over here.
Since legal age is 16 here.
Personally I also don't see the problem with them just because they are an RA, but law will disagree.
Then of course if you are in place legal is 18 you are almost there anyway. So I don't see the problem but again law would say so.

Don't do anything about it until you are 18. If you are still interested, and he is still around, just talk to him about something light that isn't related to the school stuff and see if he is interested in that conversation. If he's interested, he will be glad to talk to you and after a while make the move to ask for more.

After you are legal it doesn’t matter. I mean the school may frown upon an RA or an “employee” technically of the school sleeping with the people they need to mentor and take care of.. but I’m sure that happens far more often than not. So once you are 18, you can so what you like.
