How can you tell if chemistry between a guy and girl mutual?

I'm struggling to tell if chemistry is mutual with a girl I like. We don't really know each other but she has randomly started warming up to me out of no where. Now she talks to me like she knows me. She always smiles and waves to me. She engages in conversation and I can feel sense of happiness/excitement when we see each other

You have to look for signs. Seems to me by your description that there are signs she has an interest. All the things you point out are positive things.

I think chemistry is the wrong word to use. That is typically used to describe a relationship. What I would say is how do you tell if there is metal interest?

I think there must be if she is friendly, smiles and talks to you. Why not ask her to lunch or something like that?

I haven't actually said anything or done anything to make her warm up to me. It has just naturally happened and one day she just started doing these things. She technically doesn't know me

Yeah she seems too. As she always has a big smile at me and she makes an effort to say hello and goodbye to me
