Girls, Why do many women hug each other every time they meet?

And I do mean EVERY time, sometime to say goodbye too (which is even more unnecessary, unless they're not going to meet again for a while) They hug each other as if they haven't seen each other in years, which they, in fact, see each other every day. Why do they do this? It's creepy and stupid AF.

If it was someone they haven't seen for a while, that's a different story. But "a while" is way more than 24 hours.

Completely depends on the person. Some like hugs and some don't. In some cases it depends on who is hugging them. I hate hugs from random people, but those I'm close to it is calming

Also "mental health" and "mental illness" are not the same thing... they are two sides of the mental health continuum...

I struggle with anxiety and don't like people touching me generally to be fair, but I like hugs as long as it only from my mental list I am comfortable with and I have sort of, initiated the hug?

What? Since when is hugging people when you are happy to see them creepy or stupid? That doesn't make sense at all. If you like hugs it's totally understandable that you hug your loved ones when you see them. It's a simple way to show affection.🙃

I was in a bad mood and just left the S&P forum where almost everyone watches that channel (assuming you're not from the US and it's reasonable for you to not know what it is, it's a "news channel" that is really just propaganda.)
