Context. Getting texts from a girl everyday and we've met up a few times. Today I popped in her city and she sent a text she had to go to bed due to illness 🙈 . I'm assuming she is avoiding me but wants to keep texting.

Pretty sure it is initially a see, speak, hear no evil reference. More used to just let other people know you shouldn't share this but are. Think playful and a little secretive, embarrassed or other hush-hush feeling.

That said like most emojis it is just a way to add a little meaning to things without needing to commit to it. The monkey is cute though.

If you have already met a few times and she isn't averse to new plans I wouldn't overthink it. If you feel you're just being dragged along just express whatever sympathy you do feel and pass the ball to her.
Otherwise... tell her to not exhaust herself too much (insert optional emoji for dual meaning) and I don't know. Ask if she needs anything? Soup? A cookie? A series recommendation? Insert cheeky less wholesome but appealing idea.
