Girls, Why do women feel the need to shave their bodies?

Simple. Blame beauty standards and societal norms. Women are expected to not have a single body hair. I shave though, but only because I prefer it that way. In fact, my mom encourages me not to shave my arms and legs because it is unnecessary and does not have any benefits whatsoever.

Body hair has a few functions:
- regulates the body temperature
- provides protection against bacteria
- protection against dust
- and protection against other external influences

However, I do shave because I feel comfortable and have been for around 3 years now. Smooth skin looks more attractive according to the societal norms.

But for me personally, I just HATE the feeling of body hair. Even on other people. XD

Personally i dont like hair there. Underarms and pubes they can smell with no hair it reduces the chance of this. Plus its nicer to do oral with out fighting a bush..

but well tbh first i like to keep myself smooth n clean all the times n also i like guys to be clean n smooth down there
but i think it could be in our nature or maybe just this is how we grow that we accept guys as hairy ( i dont mean the genitals though) n for girls its usually other way around

there's just something satisfying about that smooth skin feel. its also uncomfortable to wear tight clothes with hair bc it can sometimes get caught in jean material.. or really any type of fabric

Pubic hair is there to keep germs out of your privates. If it's nasty it's because you don't keep yours clean... which is nasty.

@StrawberryShake Pubic hair keeps moisture in and causes yeast infections. It also keeps smells and is nasty when it gets pee or blood on it. Lastly, please try to keep this conversation at an adult level. Mine is very clean.
