Girl interested or am I overthinking?

Right, so there is shy girl at the gym that has caught my eye. Over the last couple of weeks we have been exchanging glances and whenever we have walked past each other locked eyes and smiled. The other day, this girl approaches me to ask whether it was ok to take a 20lb plate off power rack even though there were loads available so wasn't sure if she was trying to break the ice and make conversion (she did have airpods in though), I just responded politely and carried on what I was doing. We have had other small exchanges but she seems really shy around me. Also notice sometimes when I'm near her using a machine she does seem to fidget a bit so not sure if I'm making her uncomfortable?

I'm not sure if I sent the wrong signal as she now won't look at me at all. The other day I was on a bike at the end in a row of 4. She came in and was going to use the bike next to me as was the only one free but then another guy finished with a bike just as she was about to start so then moved to that one so was further away from me. She has also been avoiding eye contact with me now. Have I done something wrong and was I reading too much into this or was she into me? Should I try to talking to her again? Appreciate the advice. Thanks.

Coming from a really shy girl, I would say yes. I am shy so my main way of attracting someone is with my eyes or smiling.

I would say to approach her again and see what happens. She might have stopped looking because she felt odd or embarrassed since you didn’t make a move. She could be thinking the same thing as you right now.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like she was interested... then something may have changed that. Try talking to her again. Better to take a chance, than to regret what could've been.

I think she also going through the same feelings as you... she also don't know that wether you likes her or it's ur normal behaviour. So have an chat wid her first.

Can't say for sure, but it's certainly possible. Have a real convo with her and see how she reacts.
