Girls, do you find it creepy if a guy searches for you on social media to message you?

I understand it depends on different things such as is he a guy you have a good relation with or do you hate him? Is he someone you know from back in the day (i. e: elementary school, high school, university/college), an old work colleague. But if a guy you knew you from somewhere else or someone else and searched your name would you consider that odd or welcome the convo in a friendly manner.

It all depends on the situation. If I had chatted to them recently I may not find it weird, or if I knew them from long ago and the message was friendly I wouldn't mind. But if the person made me uncomfortable or we never even spoke I may feel strange.

Well nowadays it’s to be expected. As soon as you meet someone new, 90% of the time you’re gonna look them up online to see what you can find so I don’t really mind tbh. I usually just ask them what did they find about me lol
