Girls, What does it mean when I tried backing off from a girl, but she still starts conversation with me?

So I really like this girl but she does have a boyfriend. So I tried just backing off and she still started conversation with me by asking " how was your lunch on the weekend?". Then I asked how hers was and she pulled out her phone to show me the cheese platter she made.

I mean, why wouldn't she ask? That seems like an innocent question.

Just because she has a boyfriend doesn't mean you can't speak or have a respectful friendship.

Unless you're saying you're incapable of viewing women as anything other than a sexual object. If you're incapable of being just plain friends or acquaintances with someone of the opposite sex, unable to see them as people in and of themselves, then I honestly wouldn't waste her time.

But try just being platonic friends. I think you'll learn a lot about women and about yourself if you can manage that.

Ok that's a little extreme. I am capable of having a friendship. It just seems she is overly friendly with a customer. I work in customer service myself and I'm friendly but not friendly to the point I'm having personal conversation, showing photos and friending a customer on facebook

What I'm trying to say is she is been overly friendly towards someone she doesn't even know that well. That is not me saying women are sexual objects. You shouldn't assume stuff especially when I didn't say that

You didn't have to say it, it was obvious by the very fact you asked this and how you did.

It's just friendly conversation. Until or unless she starts bringing up wanting to break up with her boyfriend or that they have already broken up or starts some blatant flirting, you can just assume she enjoys talking to you.

What about the fact she used a heart reaction on facebook photo I posted of my family. I've noticed today her eyes drifted towards me and I caught her off guard when I looked in her direction

Still just friendly. If you had sent her a nude and then she sent you a bunch of hearts, that would be a different story.

You realise this lady is literally a coffee shop lady and I'm a customer. So she is very close to someone who is just a customer

No at this point we're just speaking in person. But our conversations are more on a personal level. She is asking things like how was your family lunch, she has started liking my Facebook posts with heart reactions. Now started showing me photos of her cheese platter she made etc. So our conversations have progressed to next level, not just friendly customer service talk. She and I are having like 30min conversations whilst she is working

You could try asking her out, just as friends, since she does have a boyfriend, and see if perhaps outside of a work setting she opens up more to you about any potential issues in her relationship and reasons that may suggest an ulterior motive beyond simply being friendly to you.
