Girl looks at me to check if I’m looking at her. Why?

So what will happen is that I’ll be looking at my computer and she sits in front of me to the left, with her back to me.

I have noticed a lot that she looks quickly at me to see if I’m looking at her, like when you turn your head real fast when u hear a loud noise or something like that. I dont even look at her so I’m not sure what I'm doing that bothers her.

I think that she knows I like her because a few days ago when we were alone she asked me why I’m quiet around her. So I think what she’s trying to do is to see if I’m looking at her because I admire her.
