Imagine the perpetrator uou call Karen knows sweet Karens... lmfao.. you are taking a gamble and hoping the perpetrator knows what a bad Karen is. They are often old women, and probably don't know these trends... Thus, It is an incompetent insult, in the sense that it may not insult who you want it to.

The irony is that some complain about my question... then they say just complaining alone makes a person a Karen.

It’s equally hurtful to Kraken. The beast doesn’t attack as willy nilly as Karens, or as often. The Kraken was a rare sighting and usually the result of trying to cheat the seas of their bounties. If you knew your mythology, you’d know this suggestion doesn’t apply. Maybe try Medusa. She was a jaded woman so hateful she cursed even those she loved and respected once she felt wronged. Or expand the colloquial interpretation of Harpy. A wicked, vindictive and persistently hateful and annoying woman, not just one with whom a vulnerable man has an intimate relationship. Read a book, for crying out loud!
Willy Nilly? Why don't people just get over themselves and not give people who express themselves in ways that are different than those around them a 'nickname' (for lack of better word). Like I said I was named Karen at birth, and I am proud of my name, it's actually a form of Catherine. I'd rather go by my middle name unless of course some idiot chooses to use that or numerous other names. Why doesn't everyone just shut the duck up? You don't know if the woman who is going off on someone or isn't happy with the situation is going through. Does it ever occur to anyone (male and females alike) that some of us 'being female' could be going through a serious personal issue and doesn't know how to get through it before that person gets judged by others who think they're a looney tune who should be locked up?

Well I doubt the bitcoin / cryptocurrency company would have chosen Kraken as its name if it didn't have some positive associations. But there is nothing positive about women who are commonly referred to as Karens.
Any apex predator in nature benefits itself and can take what it wants. That's how it works. Do you think we should call Karens lions or tigers for the same reasons?

I like animals, I guess I never considered a mythical monster's feelings... the thing with myths is, animals are much more reasonable than even people sometimes... movies like making monsters out to be aimlessly unreasonable... but I guess the Kraken might just be territorial, maybe even protective, they need to find a way around his territory, 😂

Lol, yeah I suppose that's true. But it really just comes down to perception and image, and the Kraken definitely has a following. Maybe a better way to say it is that Krakens may not be liked by everyone, but they are respected. Karens, on the other hand, are neither liked nor respected by anyone.
By the way, I don't like the term Karen being used that way. Like you said, there are a lot of women named Karen and it's not fair to them. I don't even know how it started being used that way.

Kraken would not work because it only comes when its called.. but a Karen or Shanaynay can strike at any time for any reason.
Now the name is being used for everybody who is insufferable... from from I've seen, Karen's skip in front of you in line, try to take away your rights and like to stand in your way ... they are very aggressive... she has all those qualities you mentioned... she is doing more than complaining, she is lying, following you, and harassing you.. yes she must be harassing to be named Karen.

Well in Pirates of the Caribbean, Davey Jones controlled the Kraken... so ot only came when he called it. In Greek mythology the Kraken only came when one of God's called upon it, that is until Peresus kill it... but yeah there's a lot of different myths surrounding the Kraken in different cultures.
But unfortunately Karen's are not mythical creatures and they are almost every where these days, and out of control.

I think that whoever decided to use the name Karen should be taken alive to the ends of the earth or tossed overboard into the icy waters of Antarctica and left to drown in the freezing cold water. My birth name is Karen, I think a different name should be chosen. One that doesn't degrade those of us who were given the name at birth. It's ridiculous how much people use the name to describe any woman who gets tired of putting up with other people's behavior and says or does something about it. I am entitled to my opinion, I have the right to express myself if some jackass/jenny upsets me. They should know better if they're an adult. Though some adults don't know how to be an adult!! It's just a stereotype of the entitled middle-aged white woman... that wants to see your manager because she's bitching about something again. I mean these stereotypes have all sorts of names... Karen's male counterpart Ken. Chad and Staci. Tyrone and Carlos. It's just funny and pretty much just a meme... a quick description of the behavior more than anything to do with people that actually have that name.
After the update and watching that video, I think what sucks the most is that most of us, if not all of us, has had to deal with this shit more than once. They are literally the minority but they drive us all fucking nutts.

To my mind, "Karen" is the last of the Iranian Zarathustran houses. The people who held out after EVERYBODY else had given in and either converted or been wiped out. The last remnants of the oldest monotheistic religion (well, that's still around, anyway); hardy a group to mock.
But nowadays, I think it's because "kraken" suggests something cooler and more powerful than those people want to associate those they deride with.
Is there a clever term to call them geese? Cause that's what they remind of. 😬 I don't mind the actual birds, they're always a nice sight... But that honking noise, might be the most annoying sound produced by the animal kingdom. So I equate the ear grating honk of the goose to the screeching cries of the typical entitled white woman one pictures when someone brings up the term "Karen". Because there are no middle-aged white women named Kraken. Karen was one of the most common names for white girls in the early 60's. Sure, some are nice. But it's too late for that.
