Sorry, this one's a bit of a read because I feel backstory provides good context here:
So I've liked this girl for about a while now, and we're on pretty good terms. I think she likes me back too, she's asked who my crush is, she copies some of my mannerisms, she's tried things she knows I like, despite not liking it particularly herself, and her friends tease her and me about liking each other.
Just today though, I was with her friend for a bit, and I teased her, so to respond, she teased me back by saying "Oh yeah? What if I told you she doesn't like you back?". I might be overthinking it because it was mostly a joke on my end so it could've been a joke on her end as well, but it just made me a bit scared to be honest. To add to it though, a while later in the night, we had to do something and they were expecting me to be there but I was out for the first part because I was getting some food, and when I returned, her friend again teased me saying something along the lines of "Wow, you'd choose food over your crush? It's okay if she doesn't feel the same way, you know".
Again, I could just be overthinking it all. She seemed joking for the most part, and I've asked one of my girl friends about it, she says they were probably just trying to gauge my reaction, but I just wanted to be sure. It just seems kind of weird to me why they'd need to do so in the first place, since I've sorta made it obvious that I like her. I've told her friend that she's cute, and I didn't outright deny liking her either, when they ask if I do.
