My crush's best friend says my crush likes me, is it just a joke ?

I've liked this guy Braeden for a couple months now, and he knows I liked him but he rejected me 2 months ago saying he doesn't like anyone yet. It seems he's usually shy around me, like if his friends tell him to ask me something, Braeden would say "You ask her please.." Anyway, lately his friends have been randomly calling out my name saying my crush likes me and he said "Shut up, guys !" He told me not to believe anything his friends say about him. And today his best friend Zach went up to me and said "Braeden loves you !" and after that Braeden kept on kicking him. I don't think Zach knows that I like Braeden so he wouldn't be teasing me, but teasing my crush. Do you think he (Braeden) likes me ?

I doubt that he likes me because if he did he wouldn't need to hide it because he KNOWS that I like him ! But then again, we IM each other for at least 2 hours every single day since we first met ! (im SERIOUS !)

he might like you, maybe after he learned that you like him he started to have feelings for you. It seems he is very shy, maybe you can hint to him that you want to hang out over IM.

Usually when a guy tells his friends he likes you, he's serious. But the only way to be sure is to ask him!
