Can it really be my crush likes me?

My literal crush started following me on Instagram recently and he liked all my pictures and sent me a message and we've been talking very in depth every since. I've liked him for a while from a distance. I knew he (was) taken though. He sends me huge texts everyday and I send the same back it's actual conversation for once in my life
He even told me he broke up with his girlfriend recently after years and she's moving out
He likes my story a lot since he followed me
He sent me few texts talking about abandoned places and stuff like that and when I said I'm into that too he said things like he doesn't have anyone to go, if I dared to do something like that, if I ever want to I can ask him etc.
He also said since we both like castles we can do something like that together
But I'm literally not sure if he likes me for real of he just wants to be friends maybe. He said he doesn't have a lot of friends
I told him I would like to by the way and that I have a lot of time
I just can't believe that someone who I've actually had my eye on like that for so long could like me like? My friend told me to be careful because maybe he just wants a hookup. I don't know. What do you think can this really be true
