Why is this woman at work setting me up to fail?

I joined a new job about six months ago. There is another woman who works above me and she is responsible for delegating work to me. She hands over to me, impossible work with very strict deadlines, but no support with the work and no training, so she expects me to complete these impossible tasks without any support or training. When I ask her for help, she tells me that she is busy and she can’t help me and that I should ask another colleague for help. Then she gets inpatient with me when I can’t complete the set deadline for the work.

When I see her in person, she will say hi to me but then look me up and down and give me a judgmental look, scanning me from head to toe. In groups I feel humiliated because she will set me a task but then say in front of the entire group “don’t worry I’ve set you an easy task so I’m sure you’ll be able to do this one without any help”.

She keeps making passive aggressive reference in meetings as to how I have bad habits of saving files in the wrong area, and every email she sends me, she will write a dig in it, explaining how I need to save my work in the right folder. If I make a mistake when we are working together, she will copy in my manager so I will feel placed on the spot and humiliated in that situation.

Why is she constantly setting me up to fail, but never offering me any help or support to progress in my role?

It is probably envy. But what most people fail to understand is that they are at war... a spiritual one. This guy was being bullied at work for weeks. After I did a spiritual warfare prayer on their behalf, the person stopped harassing them over night and had a complete change in demeanor. I've had similar occur several times now. Sometimes it is an evil spirit inside of the person that is encouraging them to commit such sin and why it stops after it has been cast out.

In such a situation as yours, I would be pleading the blood of Jesus, confessing Psalm 91 out loud, and confessing spiritual warfare prayer out loud (Only works for believers most likely). Either the evil spirit will leave, or you will have protection from their attempts. But as is often the case, people ignore what they cannot see so remain at complete mercy of it!

I always picture these people walking around carrying bright flashlights. Quick to shine it brightly on you so everyone looks in that direction. Why? Because it successfully diverts attention away from them. It's the same type of person when you are interviewing them an ask why they left the other place they worked by talking about all the stuff they wrong or how they didn't get along with management. Use that light she shines to your advantage and shine bright under its glow. Ignore the childish antics she does not worth engaging. When she gives you the easy assignment step up and put her on the spot by letting everyone you were hoping to challenge yourself I'd not this time get her to commit in front of people to do so next tome

I’ve seen many women acting that way in the work place throughout the years. Women are by nature competitive with each other and she probably has low self esteem and sees you as a threat. She’s mean and a bully. I wouldn’t stay in that work place for too long.

Why are you asking us as if we know her? We don't freaking know. Why don't you ask her? Why aren't you rejecting the shit she gives you that you know you can't do? Why did you apply to a job you're not qualified to do?

In my experience women like this one are the worst , virtually far worse than any man , thats not every woman of course. but women of this style , I feel like I know her , just keep your powder dry , options open , and dont take any shit from this person , the problems are all hers. not yours.

She sees you as a threat, you'd best keep a log of what works she gives you, If you can record what she says to you even better, and copy every message/email she sends to you. Do not respond to any of her passive aggressive remarks, keep calm and just let those remarks flow past you, just continue to gather evidence as sooner or later she will get HR involved and the more evidence you have on her actions towards you the better especially her verbal interactions with you either use the recoding feature on your mobile or by a voice activated recorder and carry it with you everywhere at work and download them by date on your HOME PC/Laptop, NEVER one at work or provided by work as the company will have a back-door IT access on their machines.

Jobs are paid for a reason. But still, she sounds unreasonable and is poor management of new talent.
Document specific instances of her poor behaviour for future reference, don't editorialise, just the facts. If there are others in the same position, get them to do the same.
Ultimately get what you can or if this job and move on. But perhaps there is a way you can side step her and work in another part of the business. Perhaps their boss, HR, live manager or union would be interested in knowing her poor management, especially if it's not just you.

Either you're dating her ex boyfriend, or were in competition with her somewhere else. Bottom line she feels you lied on your CV and aren't as experienced in the work as you claim.

But this seems like a HR issue that you need to address quickly else you will fail.

She probably Harboring Resentments and it's making her spiritually sick. Forgive those who are spiritually sick. So you dont harbor Resentment too. And do your best. But just remember: "The negative things others say about you are actually more about them than you"

I hope this doesn't sound sexist, but even today, there is a "queen bee" situation at some offices where some female bosses, feeling threatened by ambitious female underlings, use passive/aggressive methods to undermine their perceived competitors.

Just try to avoid her traps and always document or save any emails for future HR investigations.

I guarantee you she’s like this to everyone and everyone knows it.

This is done in a lot of jobs with new hires. It is a test to see if they can handle the pressure or if they complain or even just give up and quit.
try your best but don’t go to long without talking to her about it so that if she gives you help you can complete it on time.
