Do you think Japanese language is hard to learn?

I've learned a bit of Japanese. But I find it hard to learn. There are so many Japanese letters to memorize. The verbs and adjectives have lots of forms. How do you think?

I spent some time in Okinawa decades ago and learned a little of the language which I have now forgotten due to not using it. It is complex. Attaching different endings to words changes whether they are the subject or the object even though their position might say otherwise. There are charts to study to learn the different attachments to words to get the right ones. And this is just about learning the spoken language.

Hiragana and Kanji are hard enough writing systems to learn. But they also have Katakana. In most languages there is a basic alphabet and the words are formed by combining a relatively small set of characters. In English you need to learn only 26 characters from which all words can be formed. But in Japanese, forget that idea, They have a tons of words which are complex symbols instead of basic characters put together.

The spoken language is hard enough, but the written language is much harder.

I studied Japanese in college. Learning the sounds are easy, especially if you also know Spanish (the vowel sounds are identical). Learning hiragana and katakana are essential if you want to be able to read Japanese, but it's a good idea to learn a few kanji as well. I don't expect you to know all 2,000 or so kanji that are officially used in Japanese.

Yes Japanese, along with Chinese and Arabic are the most difficult languages in the world to learn.. It takes hours and years of studying on a daily basis to even achieve a basic level of competence in these languages

Asian languages ​​are a bit crazy. Honestly, it's difficult for me to learn Italian, German... to say nothing of Japanese. But there are people who have a knack for it. It's cool and they are much appreciated.

Does it make sense and is consistent? Because for some reason English lacks both sometimes. Like, why is the word “read” pronounced as “reed” but “lead” can be “Led”? And why does the letter “c” exist? We already have S and K. Dont even get me started on G stealing all of J’s words.

i would say the language itself is one of the most easy languages on the planet to learn. cause for one their grammar is straigh forward and then also their letters ALWAYS are pronounced the same way. there's not like a billion exceptions and specialties based on context you gotta remember. it's the easiest to learn language i personally know of.

It is gonna be one of the hardest language to learn because they have different symbols then us and a lot more letters. if i am right and you may know better the words read the opposite way round to our languages.

Any language is harder to learn the older you get. Think about it, Japanese babies have no problem learning Japanese.

Yes, especially if your native tongue is germanic. If an Asian language like chinese, thai, korean, etc. is your native, then it is going to be easier.

I haven't tried but yess as per my opinion it's quite hard cause there is totally different grammar which we have to learned first to communicate in Japanese..
