I nursed my 7 year old until she weened herself off at 30 months and am nursing an 11 month old now and will until she either ween's herself off or about 30 months also. I pump after each feeding and produce about 30 ounces in a 24 hour period. I have NEVER used formula but I have dozens of little baggies of milk in the freezer. It can be kept in the freezer for 6 months and in the frig for two weeks. I have donated hundreds of ounces over the years to breastmilk bank and also have given milk to women at church when their little ones get sick who don't nurse. More and more women are starting to nurse now as airports and business and churches are starting to have nursing rooms for mothers. You should NEVER nurse a baby in a bathroom. That is completely unsanitary and I have no problem nursing in public, i just do it deciently and always cover up. All of my friends and family have seen me flop a boob out to feed my little ones, I have had had several turn their head and look the other way, excuse themselves, several have engaged me in conversation as I nurse. For you women who worry about getting aroused during nursing, I have never gotten aroused while nursing a baby.
Breastfeeding is medically better. there's things in there that support a newborn's growth that we haven't been able to replicate into formula.
Obv its not always a choice though.
whatever works, works.
While there are many advantages to breastfeeding. People carry this issue way too far. If your are able to breastfeed, awesome then go for it. If you are unable then that's okay and i want to emphasize this it doesn't make you less of a woman. If you are producing milk and are able to pump cool that helps the child. Every baby is different every women's breaststroke are different and sometimes it just doesn't work. Formula is an excellent alternative to breastmilk so there is no problems using it. My wife and I went through this. We used a combination of both for both kids as it helped them feel full for a little longer and it allowed me to help my wife.
As a guy I don't have a choice, but I would recommend breastfeeding. Because it is the natural way and give you a better bond with the kid, it saves money and will boost the immune defense of the kid.

My wife breastfed our girls early on, that colostrum is hugely important for development, but she found the process of pumping quite painful, and we ended up switching to formula at about two months.
We had to supplement with formula and bank donations during their early weeks. Something about them being premature and c-section failed to stimulate her milk production. Too bad, I was going to make some ice cream with the extra just for the fun of it.
Our kids still turned out super healthy, but I think breastfed is ideal if you can manage, particularly given the extreme costs of formula right now.
Since Joe biden supposedly became president it's pretty much whatever you get your hands on. There's a shortage... in the United States!! 2 more years 😒😒😔 come on maaaannn
I've done both but mostly breastfed and breastpumped. Only had to use formula for about 6 months with my first son. My other two sons have been completely breastfed.
Breastfeeding is better but not always an option. Some women dry up, some have issues with latching/chafing. Inverted nipples are a thing, and if you get thrush you can't either.
you can breastfeed if you get thrush as long as you treat it properly.
@Subarugirl good to know
Personal preference was breastfeeding for our kids but overall its what works for those families. Some women just can't or don't want to breastfeed and there's nothing wrong with that.
I formula fed my oldest because she had an Sherry to breast milk. My youngest was breastfed and it was so much easier, plus she hardly gets sick.
Of course breastfeeding is better for the kid and gives them way more nutrients to grow up stronger and healthier
I shall most certainly be breastfeeding our new born as from this November.
I Breast fed both of my children
If I ever become a mother I'm breastfeeding my kids
Breast feeding is natural as the baby gets natural nutrition.
I think it's important to breastfeed a newborn. They actually get a lot of immunities that you have in your body. That will help them in life.
Never had the experience, so I’ll vote from what my mother said I preferred.
If you had the chance to feed from a girls lactating boobs, would you taste it
@Knoxmandz19 Well, I’m into that so yea
Breast feeding. That formula gonna make your baby slow
Formula is filled with anti nutrients and soy, so if you want to raise a sickly baby then that's your choice
I told my wife to keep breastfeeding our children till they are 10.
Breastfeeding is better because the baby gets natural vitamins
Whatever works. A mix of both.
It’s good for the immune system
I have heard that athletes drink breast milk and you can buy it at the grocery store.
My wife breast fed both of our kids.
Either, fed is best.
