Girls, What does it mean when a girl starts a conversation with me?

She started a conversation with me about what is my go to sandwich. As she and I started chatting for quite a while I noticed she was playing with her hair. In this case it was her ponytail. There was multiple occasions today she was standing close to me and her foot pointing towards me.

She is still somewhat quiet towards me but she makes little conversation with me. What is going on?

There has been multiple occasions when where she has stood next to me and her foot closer to me was pointed right at me. I noticed I started standing a certain way and her stance changed to the same as mine. She does very very quiet with me almost like she didn't like me. But then she was making some conversation with me. She and I ended up partnering up for group activities today. Happened multiple times but we naturally just teamed up
