Emotional guys, turn off for girls. But the strongest in character?

I admit I'm an emotional guy. Damn near Metro-sexual you could say. I take even small things to heart and I've gone through my life being hurt constantly by friends, family, girls, etc. I've learned that girls hate emotional guys, they tend to want the role of being emotional all to themselves. While I've been forced to contend with a**hole guys and the bitches who pretend to care, I've learned how to take more and more hurt as a whole. I'm not entirely bitter, I'd rather be nice and liberal and keep my thoughts to myself. Maybe I'm just fascinated with myself and how much I can withstand but I know I'm not the only guy out there like this. So I think "nice" emotional guys, who can take all this and not end up a complete torn f*** up, will make a single girl really happy one day.

Also one thing with me is that I'm honest. Girls hate honesty, sucks the smile right off their face.

I'm not emotional, so I'm not sure I'd click well with an emotional dude, so probably a turn off. Any dude I've been involved with is human and emotional, but not emotional to the point where they've questioned it.

So, with this question, I don't know what level of emotional you're speaking of.

I happen to be very cold and not really emotional. I never open myself up to anyone, I keep my guard up at all times and try to remain detached from anything and everything, including people. So, it would depend.

However, I know girls who LOVE emotional guys, so it doesn't make you any less likely to get a girl because you're emotional. It's not a bad thing! You just need to find someone who likes it.

Girls don't hate emotional guys. Well at least not all of them. All girls are different. But I do know that a lot of girls tend to look for a more sensitive/emotional guy. There's nothing wrong with being emotional, it just means your most likely not to be a jerk, and that's what most girls like.

why would girls hate emotional guys? I love emotional guys because you always know how they are feeling and can try and help them rather than having a guy who acts emotionless and takes his emotions out on me..

Well that's good. I think people who bottle their feelings up tend to act violent towards the ones they love, making relationship ending chaotic.

I think the word rant at the end of this sums it all up. It's the ranty whiney guy that girls hate, not the emotional one. Be emotional in the right way and also be manly and strong (you can absolutely be both) and they will love you. Simplez.

be emotional but don't whine and generally be positive and show strong character through your emotions instead of weak character.

Yes. Being Emotional can lead to potentially being one of the notoriously 'bad' kind of person. But can also lead to being a outstanding person, double edged sword. Depends on how strong your character is already, I guess.

Emotional enough to remember and appreciate the vivid moments in a day spent with someone, emotional enough to use the word "love" with precision rather than throwing it out like sugar talk. That kinda emotional.
