I understand the first thing you might think of is the word “childish” but most guys assume that she’ll say no thanks or I’m taken anyways. His thought process is why bother trying.

You should stop worrying about your initial thought process and think about more positive things that can arise if you had a relationship. After all, we are humans, we are all going to die, no one will know about our embarrassments and mistakes down the track. Thus, ask that girl you like or that likes you ‘ would you like to go on a date with me? ‘ if she says no it’s not the end of the world. Sorry to say but evolution believes that women are naturally attractive to confidence so if you don’t say anything that’s your lose and a loss for a women who could have been with you. You have a higher chance getting a women if you ask her out then waiting for a rare confident women. Personality, from my perspective, as a women I would think that if a man who likes me doesn’t want to ask me out is not worth my time because if he was really interested he would want to ‘reserve me.’ Therefore, I would be less interested in that man and slowly stop talking to him. In this situation a women’s thought process would be why even bother, if a man doesn’t want to ask me out due to ‘doubts’ about me then I might as well talk to someone else to is more forward than backward like you.
