Ladies - did she do this out of jealousy?

I hooked up with a girl a couple of years ago, but it did not turn into anything serious. We slept together twice and that was it. We did remain cool though and would hang out.

One time we were hanging out and one of her friends was there. To my surprise, she told me that her friend likes me and to go talk to her, so I did.

Me and the friend hung out a couple of times and had a good time. Everything seemed totally cool. One day, the girl asked me did I like her friend and I said yes. Soon after, out of nowhere, the friend just stopped talking to me. I called to see what happened, she just said don't worry, we're still cool. Her tone was like she hated me.

Because the friend didn't want to talk to me, I'm confused as to what happened. Did the girl lie on me to her friend?
