I think it's some of both, at least for me. And I have talked with some friends who are the same too though. There is a mental aspect to it. I have to really trust a guy to have anal sex with him, but once I develop that trust it also seems to make a more intimate connection and bond between us because I'm giving him the most private part of my body, and I trust him to be good to me. It's hard to explain but it has brought us closer.

But it also feels really good physically too. It can be a little uncomfortable at first, but I get over that and then it is very pleasurable. The feeling is different than regular sex.
