What does it mean if a girls face lights up when she sees you?

There is a woman on my street who when she sees me says hello and her face seems to light up, eyes widen, big smile. But if im with my partner its like she tries to avoid looking at me and then sometimes does this for a while after when im alone. What does this mean?

Also a couple of times iv seen her staring at me from a distance only to completely turn away when i get nearer.

There is no specific signification on the way she greets you.

It could be because on those days when she seems to light up, she is happy and makes others feel it by giving them a smile. Nothing wrong or odd about that. The emotions can be expressed in different ways.

Then, she is aware that you are with a partner and does not want to create a potential conflict by greeting you the way she sometimes does when she smiles. Some partners are quick at getting jealous of a person of the opposite gender to smile or be friendly with the partner.

Don't overthink it. There is no hidden message from that lady.

@PrettyPriya Today was a little cooler and overcast. I saved my bike ride for tomorrow and today, did the usual weekly shopping, cleaning and laundry. Nothing really interesting but it has to be done.

I hope you will be able to enjoy your week-end. I often think of you and the "deadline" fast approaching. Do you actually have a "to do" list with a time frame that you can tick off?

@SueShe I’m so glad you will get to enjoy a bike ride today! I have a somewhat busy day of what you accomplished yesterday. The household chores. Poor Mr B** has COVID for a second time. Luckily, we both had our vaccines. We also each had it once before.

I tested positive as well but with no symptoms whatsoever. I got lucky. It must be my headstand exercises that have thwarted the virus.

I have three lists. One with a few last things before we leave, one for things once we are there and one for the honeymoon, next summer. The first is almost complete. The last is too thanks much in part to your suggestions. I hope you enjoy your Sunday and we wish you all the best.

@PrettyPriya I hope Mr. Ben will be okay for the trip and the ceremony. I was fortunate enough never to have caught Covid. I knock on wood. I will be doing my 2nd booster in 2 weeks.

Will you have your family travel with you to Australia as well?

I wish you and Mr. Ben a fantastic Sunday. It looks as if today, I will be able to do an extended bike ride.

@SueShe That is great that you will get to enjoy a nice bike ride. Although not very sunny today, the temperatures this time of year are perfect here.

I think between the vaccine and having had it one time has limited it this time to a mild annoyance.

My immediate family will follow about a week after we are there and stay through the holidays and wedding. Extended family and friends will arrive after Christmas and much closer to the actual wedding.

@PrettyPriya Wow, that is a lot of traveling... Do you organize the travels or does everyone do their own planning? Do you plan to have extra-marital activities (!) such as sightseeing with your family/extended family once the wedding is over?

@SueShe It was a team effort scheduling my family’s travel plans. The rest are coming based on how much time they have to be there. My closest friends all work and it is a big ask just to go that far.

We do have lots of sightseeing planned considering the extra time my family will be there with us. They also will have their first Christmas with his family, which will be fun.

A few friends will spend a little extra time after the wedding to explore Perth with us. My closest friend and her husband are taking the time after to travel around the country a bit on their own and make use of the fact they traveled all the way there.

Mr B** and I start by flying directly to the east part of the country for just a few days to dive at the barrier reef, a lifelong dream of mine before we park ourselves in Perth for the month.
