That's exactly right. One time my ex was in a crabby mood and I remember telling her that she can go ahead and be that way but I'm gonna be happy because I'm generally a happy guy. She got really mad and said "If you do that you're gonna be single." She was dead serious too. She wanted me to be miserable too otherwise she was jealous. She also used to give me the silent treatment sometimes and try to control my moods as well.
