Is it typical for girlfriends to get jealous of each other?

I went out with a friend I had not seen in like several months because she works in another city. She posted a story with me and then this girl from our program texted her saying “what about me?”. I just don’t get it. Apparently she was disappointed she made time for me first but that’s normal because we were closer friends anyway. I asked her if it is because she doesn’t like me but apparently that was not the case. Apparently she is insecure? Has anyone else experienced this before?

I wouldn’t care about it. The friend is probably kinda bummed because maybe your friend is like her only friend, so she wants to be included in stuff and gets upset if she’s not. Especially if your friend hasn’t really made time to see her and she’s one of those people that always wants to hang out but when your friend can’t the woman takes it as rejection or being avoided. Not your problem.

Unfortunately that’s just how some people handle emotions. For instance, I have a best friend I’ve known for over 10 years. We had a fight in 10/20, then reconnected 2/21. In that time she met some girl, got really close and they hung out often. When I can back around, my friend kinda ditched her, which really deeply bugged the girl and it was so much drama. I personally don’t care about who my friends hang out with or if I’m invited, I’m actually quite introverted, so I guess I just couldn’t relate. But some people aren’t that way, and for being so childish if just ignore her.

Yes a lot of women can’t stand each other. That’s why they will never truly unite for the better of their gender. They say support each other but they don’t. I’ve always worked in a dominant flex run by women, medical. The stress they cause theirselves, each other’s, sometimes even me. They talk about each other, make comments behind each other backs, etc.

Maybe she's lonely it's not necessarily mean she's jealous.
she's lonely and thought you guys would always stick together so yes she's sad, lonely, hurt and jealous
It's not the end of the world hopefully she will get over it
