This girl got my number off her dad so she could text me, what do you think?

So I received a text today from an unknown number, when I opened it up it said:

Good afternoon John.
When are you coming to town?
Can I talk to you?

Jessica 🙏

(I've changed our names to remain anonymous)

I had no idea who this was, and wondered how she knew my name/number and schedule, my best guess was it was a friend or family member of someone I knew.

So I replied:

Hi Jessica, I'm sorry I don't remember you. Who are you?

She said:

Hi.
I always talk to you at (insert store name here).
Sorry 😊

To which I was confused because I don't always talk to any girls at said store, I thought she must be one of the cashiers there, so I said:

Ok, how did you get my number though?

She replied:

Daddy (insert her Dads name here).

I knew who she was at this point, her Dad is an employee of my Dad and I've only talked to her a couple of times for no more than a minute or two in town when we bumped into each other, she's always happy to see me, sometimes she has a kid with her so it's either her little brother, son, or she's babysitting, (and I didn't even know her name, but she's always known mine), she's given me a gift for my Mother before during one of those run-ins.

I replied:

Ok, well I'm going to town now.

And she replied:

Maybe another time.

She sends another text and says:

Tomorrow, am going to church now.

This is definitely a little strange, I'll see if she actually sticks to what she said and wants to talk in person tomorrow, but what's your take on this weirdness? I don't know her and I don't really know why she wants to talk to me out of the blue, nonetheless acquiring my number in this unusual way.

She called me on her lunch break today, and wanted me to meet her at her University, so I did, turns out it was one of her friends that wanted her to talk to me for them. 😂

Good sir, I think you're overthinking this. Meet her. Have coffee. She's interested in you. Unless she's your secret half sister or she's underage or your married, then meet with her.
