But other than that the unattractive guy doesn't partake in anything with anybody

He makes sure he isn't sending out flirting signals to females nor trying to be "bros" with any males

No it doesn't matter of looks. It's all about behavior.
I'm a good looking girl but got made fun of because I preferred to be alone as most people are fake as fuck.
So what you described to me is a loner. And not one in the mix with the crowd. I may have used the wrong words but it's not normal... especially say when you do start making friends you're still kind of acting that way
