a lot of girls in my age range (19-25) tend to get either scared, irritated, or uncomfortable if they walk by me as if I'm trying to talk to them which I'm not

I don't view myself as either too unattractive or very attractive

Unattractive is fine I have many unattractive friends. You're doing something that creeps them out. Even very attractive guys can do this and we stay away.

I've had this happen with a few gals who I've never had any contact with & they made it clear

That only happens. if we are too close in proximity or in some cases they just outright do it

It could be the opposite, they're just nervous especially if you're extremely masculine.
