Well, the typical woman on the street? Probably not, but the same is true of the typical man on the street, too. It requires specialized knowledge, which can be acquired regardless of gender. Can women be taught to build cars? Sure. I've seen women operate pallet jacks and forklifts, too, so unless there's some very specific part of the process that requires high muscle mass, I don't see why they couldn't.

Not many would want to, though.

Since much of the heavy lifting is done by machines now, I don't see why not. Would most women want to is a separate question though.
