I feel like it’s some taboo to tell people your age, specifically for women?
Even when I am elderly I personally will have no problem with telling someone my age.
Why does it matter?

The stigma surrounding sharing one's age, particularly for women, is rooted in societal and cultural beliefs about ageing and gender. Historically, women have been valued primarily for their physical attractiveness and ability to bear children, and ageing has been viewed as a negative thing that diminishes those qualities. As a result, women have often been pressured to hide their age or appear younger than they are in order to maintain their social and cultural values.
However, attitudes are gradually changing, and many people are becoming more accepting of ageing and acknowledging that age is just a number. It's important to remember that there is no shame in getting older, and that we should celebrate the different stages of our lives.
Ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide whether or not to share their age, and there is no right or wrong answer. Some people may feel comfortable sharing their age openly, while others may prefer to keep it private. What matters most is that we respect each other's choices and recognize that age should not define us as individuals.
I don't mind... I'm 40. Some chicks try to pretend to hate me until they see my body. Then they want to fuck. Here online I have to deal with that sort of thing all the time. It's why I removed picture of myself and put cartoons up... so people will challenge my thoughts more.
It's also the shit end of the stick... I get carded for trying to buy booze still and these cashiers will literally make me answer a bunch of questions. It's like just sell me my fucking booze... I've been old enough for almost 20 years!
Hey, 3 magical people that didn't speak but put the disagreement emoji on my shit... let us speak words if you're not a coward. MHO here... why don't you practice saying what you want to say? I know you'll get this because it will show up on your little bell icon. Lets talk about it. The game for MHO is over... so lets have a frank talk about it. What's your problem with what I had to say? Speak up. I want to hear it. Don't be weak.
I don't mind but it makes dating harder. People always assume I am way younger than my actual age. They think I am 16 or 18. I also have this naivety about me too that people assume I am super young, which I don't know where that comes from? They're always really surprised when I tell them my age. I notice I'll get guys who are way younger than me, into me because they think I am around their age. I think guys around my age or a little older stay clear from me because they think I'm still in high school. I'm blessed with good genes. I am glad that I don't age easily. I think age has always been a sore topic along with how much do you make. It's the kind of topic back in the day people would avoid, maybe mainly women? Age has a negative stigma tied to it, some people just don't want to talk about it.
Nothing wrong with it
I think it’s us who make this hard. Let’s say If you lower your age to appear young when asked than it is you who has an issue of falling into lies and wanting to appear young etc.
I get it that it’s society pressures etc etc but still at the end of the day who cares how old you are. If someone asks you and they look at your strange that you are so old guess what in 10 years frame they will be in your shows anyways. This world is a plane the sweet circle of life right? age - fate will hit us all as a circle clock boom boom boom in 30 years I’ll be 61
Thank you for your early wishes 🥰

Yes, I'm very comfortable sharing my age with others. I laugh because usually people don't guess my age correctly.
You look younger and better then 20 year old woman. At first I would have tough you were 19.
OMG thank you! 😊
I think its wrong to make someone feel bad for their age.
It all has to do with bullying. Just keep in mind that you also will age too (if you're lucky). Aging should be a great thing. It shows that you've had the opportunity to experience life. A lot of people die before their time. Its something you should be proud of.
I do and people are always shocked once they learn how old I really am. It can be funny when they think you're a preteen because then you look at them and say "Actually, I'm in my 20s." But sometimes I won't say my age if I go to get a kid's meal from a fast-food place.
@Adogdog If I'm being honest, you look like you might be 23-25 years. old.
@Adogdog I look like I'm 12 years. old, but I'm 23.
@Adogdog Yup. This is what happens when you're a petite woman, you look a lot younger than your age.
No, because when I do, most of them are say that I'm lying and they are demanding to see my I. D. like I just broke a law and they need to know if I'm really who I'm claiming to be. F. Y. I. I look way, WAAAY too young for my age. I look like I'm still 19 even though I'm actually 35.
I'm pretty comfortable with it, but sometimes I put off sharing my age unless someone asks that way they don't feel uncomfortable about it or treat me differently. Usually everyone legit thinks that I'm 19-20 when I'm only 16.
I don't why it's a problem in general. But I don't feel comfortable with telling my age to other people, unless I really have to. Usually because people make comments about it and they never guess my age correctly.
Personally I don’t like to share my age, the more fake and disingenuous. I’m not going to give my real age because people judge. If you’re working at a part time job but you’re in university full time to better your career. If you work with other people in their 20s or even management. They will think less of you in my opinion anyways.
I've never met a woman who was unfomfortable sharing her age, I just hear about these women from other people, or see posts online, or see them as characters in a tv show. I honestly think the taboo around sharing your age is made up bullshit at this point.
Yeah I just let people guess first what my age but if they ask my age I have no problem telling them. It is a little different for women however and I have had women make me guess which is almost a trap because if I guess to old there might be a problem.
Because people try to program in us that being a certain age means you're less worthy. It's fucked up. I think, however, if you are in a good place your life you don't care. Only when you feel like you should be more ahead do people care.
Yes I'm comfortable sharing my age with people because they always make this face 😮
I'm 28 but I look 18.
Of course, why wouldn't I? I've been 37 for the past 6 years, nothing to be ashamed of there.
I like sharing my age. I look younger than I really am. Some people don't feel comfortable because they think others will judge them in every way possible.
Probably cause there is no winning. We will always either be too old or too young.
Is that why you chose to display your age range instead of your actual age?
I'm only 27 by the way. I have 13 more days!
I honestly didn’t know I could change that. I’m 21 in April
Lol, I'm just giving you a hard time. That's cool, I wish I was 21 again. You're gonna wake up tomorrow and be 30
I don't see what's the big deal. And it's really important especially if you are entering into relationship.
I’m 24, that’s the truth so I am comfortable sharing. Think some are not comfortable?
Yes? Those who don't, are in denial. Hiding age and weight is one of the most bizzare things many women do. Age gracefully, be happy with yourself. What does it change if someone knows your age exactly?
People always think I'm like 18 but once I tell them I'm 30 they act surprised.
i ask because i look young for my age,
so when i say im older i get this response
No, I'm secretly 1,000 years old and a Tengu. I cannot share my actual age with mortals.
Older women typically don't like to, younger women it's ok. I personally don't care. I mean, age is nothing but a number, right?
I think men are just as uncomfortable sharing their age. Everyone wants to look younger because it's more attractive.
If they ask I tell them. I don't wear it on my sleeve.
Yes!
Because I look 12 years younger than my age..
I would never ask a woman their age.
That is the way I was raised.
Yeah, I love their reactions, they think I'm in high school or younger, it never gets old 😂
I am 36 looking like a 23 yo boy, telling my age has always been seen as a big lie :(
Women are not comfortable sharing their age especially those that are 30 and up.
Sometimes yeah. I think it’s culture that drives it
I am very comfortable sharing my age with others.
Yeah, it's public info on here. No shame in an age
It's kinda funny. I'm surprised that there are girls on this website cause it shows their ages.
what does this mean
Usually, the Girls or women or gals would not say their age. Only little girls like a toddler would say their age lol.
No issue for me. Most people can't guess my age right
I don’t mind telling my age. I’m 31.
I’m 44. Will be 45 in May
I am comfortable
Yes, it doesn't bother me.
It's certainly never been a problem to me.
Very comfortable and always have been.
BET BRUH I am 18
I never thought about it, yes.
Very comfortable.
Yeah, I've earned this age!
Oh yes lol nothing to be ashamed about
Women lie about their age for obvious reasons.
what are these obvious reasons
They age terribly and waste their youth, also women are weak and less likely to face reality. 🙊
oh so you just hate women
You struggle understanding English?
Yes why not
She's talking about older women, not young n spicy 18yr olds 😉
@PatriceONeal haha
With close friends yes
Yea I’m 50
So what… lol 😂
It doesn't matter to me. It is what it is
nope.
Sure. Why not?
Yes.
Sure.
No problem
