Why do girl stare down guys who are out with their girlfriend?

Like we was at the grocerie store she was also out with her boyfriend and she was staring me down which I was ignoring but I just don’t get it

Could be a slew of different reasons. She could have found you attractive, she could have wondered how a guy like you got a girl like your girlfriend, she could be one of "those" women who watch all the men around her and brace themselves for attack due to past trauma, she could have been disassociating and actually not staring at you at all but looking in your general direction, it could have been the fact that you guys kept walking down the same aisle and now she was weary of you, she could have "recognized" you or thought she saw a familiar face and was questioning whether she knew you or not, etc etc. So many possibilities with this one and I don't think anyone will be able to give you an accurate reading without us all seeing it first hand. How was her body language?

Well her boyfriend was looking away cause it was I. The frozen food section and she was just looking at me it got awkward because we had to pass them to get through the aisle

Never have encountered that but I it would seem to have to be she didn't like you being with your girlfriend.
