I’m goth. What does goth mean to you?

To me goth means depression and embracing what I am. Depressed. Instead of hiding behind some pretty cheerleader type persona.

Early goth from 40+ years ago was OK. Then it got weird and over the top. Early goth, glam and early punk were almost like three sides of the same coin. A lot of them hung out together. Some people were all three. Glam pretty much died away. Punk also went over the top and in a different direction than goth.

Goth is life. For me it's not about depression, it's about celebrating your uniqueness, or "letting your freak flag fly". Also, the best night outs in London.
