First things first, squid games is not a movie. It's a series/drama.
Second things second, any series/drama in Korean language is K-drama or Korean Drama.

Squid games is a kdrama. Kdrama isn't NOT a genre, they are series with Korean language. They refer to television series in Korean language made in South Korea. Look it up, I mean the definition of kdrama. And also if Squid Games is kdrama or not.

How is any series in Korea a Kdrama? Is every series in america an American drama? No. It has different genres. Drama is a specific genre in my opinion, like the Kardashians wouldn’t be considered a drama. It’s a reality TV show.
Now my apologies on referencing Squid Game as a movie, but every show from Korea is not a drama. K-drama is a specific genre of shows. Referring to such is like saying all animation made in Japan is anime. You can look it up and it states the definition as:

My opinion is still the same, the definition that you shared is not wrong, read it thrice. You'll understand what genre really means in that sentence. 'Drama genre' and Squid Games is a series. Just search if squid games is a kdrama or not. It is a kdrama.

Like I just shared with you, Kdrama does not define ALL Korean media as you stated. You said ALL Korean media made in Korean. The Kardashians IS a series, as series have multiple seasons by definition.

Like I said before, do you define all Japanese cartoons as anime? Because that’s the same thing you’re doing here. What about all Korean music as Kpop? It’s not a fair correlation. Kdrama has its own entity in Korean media.

Like I said I corrected myself on Squid Game, but you are incorrect to label ALL Korean media as drama. It’s simply not true. If I googled “American Drama” would I expect Hannah Montana to pop up? No, because it has a genre that is not drama.
