Isn't in awkward to wear rings?

Well, in the morning my mom just gave me two rings and told me to wear them in my ring fingers for today for this family occasion. At first when I slided it on my finger then it felt awkward, it felt like a really tiny creature was holding my finger. After 5 minutes when I was washing my hands, I got a mini heart attack because I didn't feel the hold of ring! But then I brought my ring fingers of both hands near my face and sighed a breath of relief to find them in their place. It's been like only 30 minutes since I am wearing them but I got such mini heart attacks for like 8 times. I thought wearing ring must be cool but no, it keeps me nervous and distracted. You don't have this fear with neck chains and earrings which is my usual wear.

after a while you get used to them, esp if they fit correctly.
Our family owned a jewelry store for 52 years between my parents and myself, my dad learned how to set diamonds as his GI Bill after WW2.
He always said that the only place a ring should be is either on your finger or in your jewelry box.
Try just wearing them on special occasions.
That is a good way to be more comfortable wearing them.

I understand and I dislike wearing rings. Yes when you wear it for the very first time it can be very uncomfortable.

I never felt so awkward and fearful with other jewelleries like neck chain, bracelet and earrings. The rings are pretty and I like the look but after wearing them for few minutes you don't feel it any more and it gives this panic shock for few seconds till you ensure it's there. It was really distracting, for the whole time it captured my attention because I feared it will slip off if I don't stay alert.
