Why would a 28 year old woman be pretending to be a college undergrad online?

One of my friends told me that a colleague at her office seems to spend a lot of her time, posting on Reddit, pretending she's still a student at her old university. She's not trying to plug an OnlyFans or anything like that. We couldn't think of a reason she would bother to do this.

Any ideas why somebody would spend their time pretending to be somebody they used to be?

Missing that time of her life? Quarter life crisis and desperately trying to hold on to the past and her youth? Not happy where she’s at in life right now? Could be a variety of reasons.

Yeah, that would actually make sense. This is not somebody who has been especially successful.
