Why do women lie about their age on dating sites?

I don’t see the point in that. For example, I just got a phone number from a woman that I find very attractive. However, I was not entirely sure she was actually the age she said she was. And then I looked it up and apparently she’s eight years older than that.

Why does anyone lie about their age on anything? It's not a woman thing. There are loads of folks on here, for example, whose age isn't correct. But there are also guys who post false pics etc on sites to look younger/older.

If I caught a woman lying to me about her age it's over. The thing is I wouldn't even really care about her age in 90% of cases the problem wouldn't be the age it would be the lie because you shattered the foundation of trust. If you lied about that I can't trust you not to cheat or worse.

Yeah it's pathetic and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It starts the whole interaction off terribly too, because you know they're a liar. Best thing you can do is stay away from women like that.

I mean for me it’s not as a big of a deal because I like older women, but it depends on how much. One time somebody took 13 years off their age. And their real age was well beyond my line.

Been lied to about age, and weight. Told them no thank you after the first dates. Because in the one profile she said she was in her 20's but it was double that. And the other had someone else's pictures, or her old pictures because when I met her in person she was around 200+ pounds more than she was in her pictures.

It's whatever. If I click on a woman's profile that says she's 30 and I think she's attractive, isn't that on me? But I agree, the letdown of the truth is usually enough to swipe left.

I am attracted older than me, but like for example, when someone said they were 56, that’s still in my range, 69, no. Once we get into senior territory, I’m out.
