Should women who lie about their age and their profiles give their real age before you meet them?

I did some basic research and discovered this woman took four years off her age. It’s not going to change if I want to go out with her. But her not telling me she did that is a red flag.

Hmm... I absolutely see where you're coming from. I am inclined to agree. However, I've also known some women (who were good people) who were insecure enough about their age to lie about that on a profile.

Now, keep in mind, that its entirely possible she doesn't have it top of mind. For example my real name isn't steve. I do tell people my real name when I'm messaging with them. I hate that anyone thinks my name is steve. I wish I picked a different name.

Well... even though I see Steve all over the place on my GAG account... I have forgotten to say, oh yea... by the way my name really is...

And I can see her possibly not really thinking about the fact that her dating profile she made 4 months ago, has her age as 26 instead of 30... so she doesn't make it a priority to mention it because she's forgotten, that in your mind, she's 26.

I still am weirded out when someone says "thanks steve" but until that happens, I forget that everybody on here thinks that I've told them my name is steve. I can give her the benefit of the doubt initially, at least.

You can test it, in a roundabout way. You do have the number she claimed, so it's not like talking specific ages is rude. If she confirms that she's 26 to your face AT THAT POINT I would agree. Red flag that you should heed.

Could still be all good. Just give her a chance to remember you think she's 26. Hell do it while alluding to women lying about their age if you want (or whatever you want)

If someone’s going to lie about something as stupid as their age I can only imagine what else they are going to lie to me about. But I don’t trust dating apps you just don’t know who you’re talking to on the other end of the line.. A serial killer? Scammer? Catfish? Someone there for shits and giggles? Someone wanting casual sex? Someone wanting to use someone for financial reasons among others?

I just choose not to be on there I would rather build a connection with someone I know then some random person online. I get some people maybe live in a area where everyone’s a cousin to some degree or another but come on

You're getting into the age range now where women KNOW they're less marketable. And the vast majority WILL lie about thier age just to compete.

I'll be honest man. I haven't met a woman yet that didn't lie to me about AT LEAST one thing: age, income, education, size.

Should everyone be honest? Yes. But I know with most women that's never going to happen.

I wouldn't concern yourself so about her lying (not excusing it, it's wrong for whatever reason) but try to concern yourself with WHY she's lying. It'll help you discover any character flaws.
