Why do men always write “women ☕️” for girls?

this is very disturbing. By the way, computer and wifi is a woman's invention.

I get the Healy Lamar reference with WiFi as she did some great work that set the stage but computers? I don’t know about that one. Captain Hopper did some great work with COBOL in the early days but what are you referencing for computers?

Fun Fact: The Governor in the movie Blazing Saddles was named Hadley Lamar as an omage to her as she was in film as well. (It’s weird that spellcheck doesn’t recognize the valid word omage which is also homage.)

And in answer to your question, 10 years ago women were complaining that girls was used for women… maybe we should use gals like we do guys. Anyway, people should use the age appropriate one but in casual conversation they are interchangeable.

All to do about ages, IMHO. To me, any lady under 30 can be a girl, but older than that, she is a woman. But regardless of age, all should be considered Ladies. :)

I don't know. I just write "woman" unless the woman is under 18. The modern computer had many inventors, mostly men. I don't know about WiFi.

The first computer was invented by Charles Babbage (1822) but was not built until 1991! Alan Turing invented computer science. The ENIAC (1945) was the first electronic general-purpose digital computer; it filled a room.

you used the word woman's instead of girl's, so you might need to ask yourself the same question.
After a certain age they become a woman instead of a girl.
Just like men at some age they are no longer boys, but men.
Some people will differentiate it by saying young lady or young man.

Hedy Lamarr's work influenced WiFi but she did not invent it that was Vic Hayes. Charles Babbage invented the computer, I have no idea about this women with a coffee emoji you are refering to. Women and minorities have done great things for science, but they need to stop trying to claim credit for the achievements of white men.
